Pros

Working at UCLA as an Executive Assistant provides great exposure to an academic environment that values innovation and collaboration. The benefits package is exceptional, including comprehensive health coverage, retirement plans, and ample vacation time. UCLA also offers professional development opportunities, which are helpful for career growth. The campus is beautiful, and the staff community is supportive. I found the work-life balance to be manageable with flexible hours.

Cons

The compensation may not be as competitive given the high cost of living in Los Angeles, and the organization can sometimes feel slow-moving due to its complex bureaucratic structure.

Pros

I get paid for the research I would otherwise have to do for free

Cons

It is a big time commitment with school and this job at the same time, but that is mainly on the research you do.
