Pros

UKG emphasizes on a people-first culture, valuing employees as its greatest asset, although not (fully) showing it with the recent layoffs. Inclusive, supportive, and collaborative environment can be felt every day. There are exceptional health benefits (medical, dental, vision) and Generous retirement plans with company matching.

Cons

The salary does not match the amount of work that needs to be completed on the weekly bases. Ongoing restructuring and reorganization in some departments has lead to job uncertainty and shifting responsibilities. This has cooled off in recent months, but it's always in the back of our minds.

Pros

One of the biggest pros of working at UKG is that the company genuinely lives by its open-door policy. You can set up a meeting with virtually anyone—regardless of title—and they’re willing to have a conversation and offer their insights. There’s no rigid hierarchy, which makes collaboration feel natural and accessible.

Cons

A key drawback at UKG is that leadership often prioritizes tactical decision-making over strategic thinking. Many recent initiatives have felt reactionary—quick judgments made without fully evaluating long-term risks. These decisions are sometimes reversed just a few months later when outcomes fall short, suggesting a trial-and-error approach. While these moves are often framed as “innovation,” it can sometimes mask a lack of thorough planning and risk assessment.

Pros

Hardworking partners I've met along the way

Cons

Little to almost no training. You will be overworked and micromanaged 95% of the time. There’s a lot of planning and strategy on the surface, but in reality, it’s complete chaos; no one knows exactly what to do, there are no procedures, the goals are impossible, and salaries are low. You will feel undervalued, overworked, and stuck with an unhelpful team that knows very little about what needs to be done. If you show any initiative or basic work ethic, prepare yourself to become an octopus. It's all about numbers and revenue. It’s not what it used to be.
