Pros

Best co-workers I've ever had. They really want you to succeed and make you feel a part of the team.

Cons

Pay sucks. This is not a livable wage if you are supporting a family. You will get promotions and raises over time, so if you're willing to stick it out for the long haul, it becomes more viable. Another con is that you don't have job security, especially not the first few years. There's a probationary period where you must work a certain amount of consecutive semesters to get any kind of priority for available classes to teach. They do go out of their way to keep you employed though, so most everyone I know who wants to work is able to.

Pros

Awesome colleagues, a clean environment, a well-knit and kind college, and a sense of genuine purpose. Moreover, a lack of nastiness and competition for the most part.

Cons

low research support, a general sense of embattlement at the university with the state defunding it. A sense of lack of direction from the upper administration. Uneven students.

Pros

Good people and 1 month vacation to start for professional union workers.

Cons

Chancellor Motley made $379,390.00 in 2014 according to the Boston Herald paid by the US tax payer. Can someone explain why he makes almost as much as the president of the united states which is $400,000 in 2014. Very wasteful spending and overpaid unneeded positions. Also all union employee's get 1 month paid vacation to start and Massachusetts residents want to know where all their taxes go.
