Pros

It is an international organization offering long-term vacancies, where one can grow professionally and individually every day. The work environment is outstanding.

Cons

The United Nations Development Programme tends to offer less benefits or additional perks than other bodies in the same international organization network.

Pros

As being a UNV, it can be an entry point to have a thorough experience in United Nations project, programs and procedures.

Cons

UNV is not considered as UN Staff and apparently no direct way from management to support "staffing" of UNVs.
