Pros

Discount through Co-op for Natural and Organic foods. Great co-workers. Free parking in Providence. Volunteer opportunities encouraged. Flex time and work from home possible, good life/work balance. Promotes from within.

Cons

Sketchy senior management. Poor communication. Pays significantly under market for most positions. Not forward thinking in business software and applications. Promotes from within, but with little or no compensation. Losing focus on mission statement.

Pros

Company itself has a good mission - sustainability & philanthropy. Benefits are decent. The company store is a bonus, as is the co-op.

Cons

No work/life balance, as people on here agree. If your job isn't the center of your universe & you're not sucking up to management, you're "not a team player". And if anyone in management bullies you, don't expect any help whatsoever from HR.

Pros

Decent benefits package ( aside from Wellness Fair) Good PTO accrual Encourage employees to take days off (needs to be done to stay sane)

Cons

Management- across the board on every level. Decision making is lacking; forethought and planning are secondary to knee-jerk and panic decision making. HR- doesn't support the employees, takes sides with management in most cases Benefits- while they CAN be good, Wellness Fair each year measures weight, B.M.I, blood pressure and smoking- anything above a certain level and you don't qualify for premium rates More emphasis on hiring from outside organization, not promoting from within.
