It is disheartening that UNFI let me go without severance. I worked hard for UNFI and faced significant homophobia from other employees, including the account manager, who openly ridiculed me in front of grocery store employees. I consistently met my sales targets and managed accounts beyond just the Total Wine account. The team in New Orleans seems to be filled with spiteful conspiracy theorists. You can enter any store that UNFI services and find numerous outdated products on the shelves. While I understand I may have been let go after an on-the-job injury, I was a dedicated employee.
