Pros

Employee benefits are fantastic, UNFI also provides a 401k plan with matching contribution of $.50 on every dollar, up to 8%. Basic life insurance coverage provided free of cost as a UNFI selector. Paid volunteer hours for select events. As well as incentives of up to $4.50 more per hour if conditions met. Lots of overtime availability.

Cons

There point system can be difficult to deal with especially in first 90 days. You leave when the trucks are loaded if you work in loading and product selecting. My hours are supposed to be 2 P. M. - 12 A. M. But most days it ends up being 1-3 A.M. High turn over rate which leads to a constant flow of new employees who have little to no experience. This tends to add a lot of time onto our nights.

Pros

Great company in many ways. Decent pay. Fast raises. Good benefits that are not terribly exoensive. Goid vacation time and a employee purchase program. Drivers start at $20, up to $20.50 after 6 months, $21 at 1yr, $22 at 2yrs, $23 at 3 yrs, $24 at 4 yrs, $25.25 at 5 yrs, which is max pay unless if there is a cost of living raise (which happens every once in a while) I know our warehouse people start somewhere around $13 or so and also have high, consistent, fast raises.

Cons

No time and a half overtime; pay is straight pay for drivers. A lot of things company could be doing better, but overall a good place to work; most people are friendly. Warehouse is still new, and slowly (too slowly) getting better.
