Pros

The rank and file employees are the most valuable asset, and although they have lost some significant benefits recently such as 401K match and bonus options, they continue to perform in spite of heavier work loads after countless lay-offs in recent years.

Cons

SUPERVALU has some serious moral issues that need attention. Executive leadership changed constantly, thus the strategy and direction of the company changed as well. Many projects were in the works for months, being managed by outside contractors, and then shelved by the newest VP; a lot of wasted labor, wasted money, wasted time. This has also put them far, far behind their competitors.
