Pros

Greats starting pay ($12.30) Easy, simplistic task (building a pallet, interlocking cases) Always do the same thing (as a part timer) Union (cool story bro)

Cons

So repetitive, it's mind numbing I pay $10 a week for a union I've never needed representation from for over a year. Time limits on orders are strict To get anywhere, you need to be there for years (at least a good +10) When I started, part timers were going full time at a rate of 3-4 every 4-5 months. It's been about 7-8 months since the last group moved up the rank and now I have all this "seniority" and nothing to use it on. Benefits are only acceptable at full time status

My SUPERVALU Experience

Pros

Great people, good pay and a wonderful atmosphere. I don't have their benefits, but from what I hear, those are top-notch as well.

Cons

Media seems to take what is going on with SUPERVALU and only report the negative. Or find negative when there isn't anything there.
