Pros

supervalu treat employees very well. They give great training and provide promotional opportunities up to senior mgt level. The knowledge you gain at supervalu will stand to you who ever you work for in the future.

Cons

lack of promotion opportunities at higher level. Long hours which are a part of working in the retail trade regardless of employer. If ou want a nine to five mon to friday job do not consider retail at all.

Pros

Steady work, I can not remember, but I am sure the benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Big brother is always watching over your shoulder. Your performance is constantly monitored via the computer systems. Working in the freezer is cold, haha. Receive, store and issue repair parts. Establish and maintain stock control and accounting records. Conduct location surveys and periodic inventories. Establish and maintain records for both manual and automated maintenance management systems. Prepare input and interpret the output of these systems. Maintenance of budgetary/fiscal management process. Request, receive and issue repair parts and supplies in support of maintenance operations. Control and issue tools and test equipment. Transport repair parts and/or supplies to other workers or areas using material handling equipment (MHE) or commercial vehicles, as required. Prepare periodic reports. Complete maintenance, supply and administrative forms and other paperwork related to performance of duties.

Pros

The pay is good once you have reached top scale, or you have more then six years driving exp. Also the vacation time and personal time is good at the 5 year mark and gets even better at the 10 year mark since you acrue hours per pay period.

Cons

It long hours when you work and the managment staff is more concerned about there budget and christmas bonus then maintaing the equipment you need to do your job efficiently. Most case communication between managment and the employee's is low except when you or somebody else does something wrong and within a hour everbody in the company knows about it, and the only way it could have been made public is by management.
