Poor HR service for local staff at UNICEF BiH

Business Outlook

Pros

Good compensation, interesting and stimulating working environment

Cons

For local staff positions in the office in Sarajevo they used to place someone internally and were only interviewing to meet HR's compliance. The same story goes for short-term/consultant local staff positions, they select ones for who they get recommendations by local ministry offices. Accordingly, talented, experienced and passionate individuals have no access opportunities. No transparency in the whole process.

Noble, but with caveats.

Pros

The most noble mandate one can work with. Even a simple graduate can dream to become a country head here.

Cons

Horses and mules run together. Little appreciation for cerebral capabilities. Difficult to maintain work life balance.
