Pros

Great co-workers from many different cultures, great benefits - especially for professionals, wholesome company values. Work/life balance if you make it your priority. The employees are highly educated so the work environment is on a high level.

Cons

It's a bureaucracy! So you need to work with that. I recommend building relationships with other departments and divisions as a short-cut to some of the red tape you might encounter. Sometimes it was frustrating trying to get work done as the goal posts kept getting moved and what was "ok" one month was not acceptable the next time you had to accomplish the same task! Many professionals travel to a great extent.

Pros

Really believe in the mandate to work for the good of all children; professional, caring and expert program staff in the field and at HQ

Cons

As the work is so focused on delivering services, sometimes the well-being of the staff falls by the wayside. The workload is heavy and burnout is a risk for international and local staff.

Pros

Somewhat relaxed atmosphere, wasn't micromanaged on daily basis, small local offices have a lot of freedom. Very good environment for younger inexperienced workers to get some experience, practice foreign language, learn the culture in another country and find out how corporate world operates.

Cons

Part time workers are not paid so well, expected to work on call, weekends too. There is always chance to be relocated, even to another country if they lack of resources.
