Pros

- A chance to impact policy and programming to improve the wellbeing of children and mothers at a global level - There are many great minds and dedicated people as part of the team - The organization brand opens doors to be a part of high-level partnerships and efforts to move forward the agenda - International community

Cons

- the bureaucracy can be a time suck and hinder your ability to do your work efficiently - poor team management: poor internal communication systems and many people do not feel that their contributions are valued - huge variation in salary packages, benefits and job security, depending on the type of contract - over-reliance on consultants (who do not receive staff benefits) to perform staff roles
