Pros

Good benefits. Ability to work from home for some employees. Programs for smoking cessation and weight loss. Some tuition reimbursement and their selected facilities.

Cons

Underpaid for the difficulty of the work managing individual requests and demands of 40+ clinics. Off site parking requiring a 15 min each way shuttle transport (30 min of unpaid time) in addition to the commute to the parking lot - and they don't reimburse parking despite people losing an extra half hour of their day every day which is 10 hours a month doing nothing but sitting in a shuttle.

If you enjoy technology and have a strong work ethic UPMC is a great place to work. I enjoy the challenges UPMC provides on a daily basis. UPMC has been will be very fair with me.

Cons

You have to work hard but that is a good thing for someone like myself. You have to realize patient care is involved in any position that you hold.

great learning opportunities, flexible scheduling , education incentives easy to move between departments magnet hospital with a big focus on quality of nursing care

Cons

low salaries, very corporate oriented, has a monopoly in the area so no real incentive for competitive salaries high insurance rates
