Perhaps the largest challenge was the persistence and tenacity one must have to get your foot in the door as the saying goes.

This organization employs over 30000 people across the western pennylvania area. It is amazing how few are happy to work for UPMC(and I've spoken to most of the employees personally) and how little training is given to middle management who are alleged to be assisting the servicing the customer base. In 40 years I have never observed such mediocrity that prides itself and neither being better or worse at being mediocre. Tis an artistic work.
