Pros

Some work from home, but expect them to ask you to come in once a month for arbitrary “trainings” but it’s really their way of trying desperately to hold on to the little micromanagement they have left. They don’t trust they’re employees in other words.

Cons

I’ve worked here for many years, and over those years, I’ve been able to guesstimate how much my coworkers make. Our years working here mean nothing, we have to whine and brown nose to be the person that gets raises. We don’t even get the yearly cost of living raises, so forget about ever getting a promotion, you’ll just get the pleasure of more work, with no more pay. But those “fat cats” are living LARGE. UPMC is a true monarchy, here in Pittsburgh, throwing scraps at the peons.

Pros

I've worked in several areas within the company. So me good, some not so good. I feel like it's a great place to work if you find the right fit.

Cons

Don't get paid what you should. Upper management doesn't seem to care about their employees. There's not a whole lot of opportunities available if you're not a nurse
