Pros

Great team work organization, leadership opportunities, plenty of advancement options with a supportive leadership and a wonderful leave policy. In addition, the medical and dental coverage is excellent. A dedicated fitness standard and availability pursue excellence that carries over into the mission environment.

Cons

Inconsistent shift schedule where every two months days and nights would switch while working twelve hour shifts. At a minimum I assess switching every six months is better for the employee.

Pros

- Great benefits - Experience with teams that would literally die for each other: you will never get something like this in the civilian world - A sense of purpose - Opportunities for growth

Cons

- You could give your life in service to this "company" - Standing committments that are, generally, unbreakable (i.e. enlistment terms of 4-6 years)
