Pros

Great IT/Cyber Training (boot camp/certification). Great opportunity for hands-on learning; live missions (for active teams). More relaxed than regular Army. Lots of freedom for self development. You get to be part of the growing DOD cyber force.

Cons

It was just activated in 2014/2015, so there are some growing pains. Most of the senior leaders don't have any cyber training, so they treat it like a signal unit instead of a technical spec ops unit. The teams are disjointed, not uniform and inconsistent. Training does not properly prepared employees for the missions; a lot more on-the-job learning.

Pros

Work conditions are usually that of a team. Relocation expenses are always covered. Your supervisor always works to train you to take his/her position. Promotion is up to you! Truly is a career, not just a job.

Cons

You are told to move around a lot. This can have adverse impacts on your family if you are not considerate of their needs. The pay is controlled by the government.
