      If you require a predictable schedule and normal work hours, and don't want to move periodically, this probable isn't the career field for you.

      Pros

      Very high opportunity for furthering specialty education. Unlimited experience potential. Tuition assistance benefits. Physical fitness is part of the job. Overall good medical benefits. One can work for great leaders.

      Cons

      one can work for terrible managers in leadership positions. Work environment can be a real hardship. Management often only gives lip service to employee concerns of neglected benefits. Soldiers' health treatment and benefits are curtailed in order to save current and future budgets.

      Pros

      Challenging, team environment all that you see in movies but better. Yes there will be trying, difficult moments but it is these challenges and ones ability to face them and overcome them that will make one a better person. Great gear and issued equipment, much of it being gratuitous issue items that you keep forever. Great pay and benefits if you make it a career.

      Cons

      Sometimes a lack of focus and lack of senior leaders to voice to the politicians in a more open, direct manner the proper course of action the US should take.
