An Unforgettable Career

Pros

Best decision I ever made. Teaches self-discipline and helps develope excellent core values early in life. The education opportunities are amazing - the GI Bill paid for my Bachelor's Degree. Excellent compensation package along with an unparrallelled retirement package.

Cons

This career is not for someone that does not like to travel around and live in different places. Must be able to wear the same clothes everday and give up things like warm showers/meals once in awhile. If you like piercings, long hair and ink in visible places - this is probably not going to work out very well.

Pros

The benefits are great while you serve. Also, when you get discharged some benefits continue through the V.A. Great experience if you don't mind working very very hard.

Cons

Have to be willing to start at the bottom and work your way up. Very hard work. Due to the fact you are serving your national, not hard to feel proud.
