Pay, Health, Education benefits. No education beyond high school needed.

Cons

Work/life balance- you earn that small but early retirement If you have a bad supervisor, it can ruin your career/time investmented No shortage of big egos

Pros

Medical coverage, learning rifle marksmanship, dental coverage (active duty only), GI Bills, Clothing allowance, BAH, BAS, guaranteed salary no matter how many days worked during the month.

Cons

Very unorganized, unknown/expected working hours/days, deployments & time away from family, they are too involved in personal life as well as work life.
