Pros

If you take care of your duties, the military will take care of you and those you care about! You will be not merely collecting a check but collecting the right to be called a hero. The army allows you to see the world in a different way than other organizations.

Cons

Sacrifices are to be made, of course--that goes without saying. Yet, the difference that can be made through a military career eclipses the sacrifices ultimately.

Pros

The Army affords young individuals the ability to lead Soldiers. Serving as an Army officer is a great way to take on a great deal of responsibility despite having little experience. As an Army officer young men and woman can influence the lives of other in a fast pace environment.

Cons

You have to be away from your family for longs stretches of time. Individuals will have an extremely hard time influencing change in an organization as large and the Army.
