Pros

There are very few requirements, and they will pay for all of your training (and clearance if you're in Intelligence).

Cons

Typically work 50+ hour weeks, with no overtime pay, and of course you may get shot at if you deploy.

A love-hate relationship.

Pros

The Army has great benefits, and can provide a challenging work environment with unlimited possibilities for personal and professional growth.

Cons

When you sign up, the Army can do whatever it wants with you for as long as you signed up for (and for a full 8 years, to a lesser extent). The Army will ALWAYS consider its own needs first. Your needs/wants/aspirations will come second, and may be ignored completely by your superiors and career managers.

Pros

It offers numerous professional and educational opportunites that allow you to gain valuable experiences unmatched by any employer in the world

Cons

The needs of the Army do not always match the needs of the employee. As a result, you must learn to cope with disappointment from time to time.
