Pros

Some of the best reasons to work for the US Army is stability. The benefits in the military can't be beat.

Cons

Deployments are very difficult to endure, especially if you have a family. These days multiple deployments in a short period of time are hurting families.

Pros

1. Pay and benefits are pretty good. 2. Job stability, you know you're not going to get fired. 3. Opportunity to work in great teams with fine individuals.

Cons

1. Deployments are very tough on the family. 2. Not much of a "meritocracy", promotion is pretty much based on how long you've been in. 3. Fairly inflexible career path, especially for the first 6-8 years.

Pros

Cons

The pay is low. If you are marrried you get an extra 1300 a month for living expense which makes it hard for a single soldier and that is why alot of yooung soldiers rush into marriages and contract marriages which usually leads to divorce. Repeated deployments though they will probably slow down soon. As a lower enlisted soldier they dont care about advise or ideas tht you may have
