Pros

The camaraderie was outstanding, keeps you driven. I’ll miss this the most. Lots of physical exercise, pretty good food on the holidays, and the medical system is easily accessible.

Cons

Long deployments, Soldier issues, Remote locations. Time away from the family can't be made up for, but time with your fellow service-members is equally valuable.

Pros

GI Bill, free health insurance, deployment money is nice, a wide variety of training available, you get to blow stuff up

Cons

The health care is terrible, being deployed means getting shot at and blown up, you rarely get to actually do your job, spend most of your time loading/unloading connexes, the hours are terrible, expect to work 30 hour shifts for no reason, promotions can be impossible depending on your job
