Pros

Excellent benefits, decent pay, guaranteed employment for the duration of the enlistment contract. One hudree percent tuition assistance, and even college loan repayment if you have outstanding student loans. Travel, Education, Adventure, Money, and Service to Country are enough reasons to make the committment.

Cons

When situation dictates and our nation is at war or in conflict with other nations or terrorist grooups one may be asked to deploy for up to a years time away from family and loved ones.

Pros

Great benefits, and a great experience. A lot of people will say that the pay sucks, but the salary plus BAH will average a starting soldier at 30 k per year pending on your duty station.

Cons

Time away from family and friend is the only con, but the friendships that are made with other soldiers is a substitute.
