Pros
Objective, attempting to embrace new technology, great work life balance, about 90% of the tools you actually use on a day to day basis. Many opportunities to modernize and automate. Good career opportunities since there are so many various divisions. I was able to move up quite a bit once I 'got my foot in the door'.
Cons
Not really ready to embrace new technologies without lots of people dragging their feet. Upper level management (SES) can steer the ship at a whim. Most companies are undemocratic but it feels quite two faced when SES want to get feedback but really don't act on negative feedback. Way too Tableau heavy. For a company that deems itself as 'too reliant on SAS' it seems like we want to find a SAS 2.0 instead of embracing open source tools. Difficult to work in a different 'lane' without doing a JRP or permanent re-assignment.
