Pros

Federal positions offer TSP, health insurance, other benefits that are desirable

Cons

LOSING TELEWORK/REMOTE WORK (bureaucratic BS, no real reason to do so). Salary is not competitive compared to the private sector, there is a "good-boys" club and a lot of butt-kissing is how people get ahead and how any advancement or opportunities occur. There is WAY too much promised to be delivered by not nearly enough people.
