Pros

Honor, courage, Commitment. I loved it, I wish I was under orders right night. Unemployment sucks really bad man. Hoorah!

Cons

you are a government item. You go where and when they tell you to go. Life at sea can be very dismal at times.

Pros

The Navy as a stepping stone is a great opportunity to earn work experience, save up money, and earn benefits such as college tuition.

Cons

One downside of working in the Navy is that your life is not always your own. You find the you often fight for rights that you, yourself do not actually have while employed in the Navy.

Pros

Full benefits, paycheck, food, world travel.

Cons

Standing watch, long deployments, E7 through E9 ranks attempting to run things in their own way no matter what the rules are.
