Pros

USPS offer good hourly pay, due to the union.

Cons

Union for Rural Carriers is in management's back pocket. Management treats you like you are less then human. Teamwork does not exist. Everyone is out for themselves.(Management, co-workers, etc.) You only receive hourly pay until you make full time regular, last person that made regular took 10 years.

Pros

Flexibility on days off. Work is the same day after day if you like regularity. Vacation days are good.

Cons

Pay decrease. Sometimes you have no one to cover your route so you have to work 6 days a week and the USPS wont pay over 60 hours a week. There's a lot of employees on disability who should not be on disability and the USPS tolerates it.
