Pros

Work by yourself and manage your own time.

Cons

Overtime is mandatory and if mail volume is low they can force you to leave or cut your hours down weekly.

Pros

Wasn’t a shortage of work to be done, breaks were good, the leaders kept us on our toes and the team get together were a great way to get to know coworkers.

Cons

Graveyard shift felt long, very repetitive and could get exhausting feeling pretty quick. Didn’t have enough jobs to hand out to transition employees when they shut down the place.

Pros

work is easy. you can listen to music after probation period. co-workers are nice.

Cons

SOME supervisors always find ways to make your life harder than it needs to be. PSEs are discriminated in so many ways here. For instance, you have to work overtime if they want you to, you can't take days off (even if you have unused annual leave) unless they pre-approve your request a week ahead. But how could you know that a week from today that you or your family members are going to be sick? And most of the time as a PSE your request to take days off will be rejected because you are not a career employee. The supervisors make sure that PSEs feel like a second-class citizen at this facility. If you ever question, they will tell you that the contract says so and blah blah blah. No wonder most PSEs quit within the first year. I actually wanted to stay and have tried very hard to deal with all the craps for a year but I think I’ve had enough.
