Overtime, however that’s only sometimes

No guaranteed hours except for one day. Management plays favorites and you never know if you’ll have a 2 hour or 12 hour day.

They live in the 50s. The post office needs serious updates to deal with the volume of packages they handle, especially after the contract with Amazon. Carriers deliver to giant routes and are overworked. They simply cannot take time off because there's too much work. But new employees don't stick in this type of expectation. They say all postal workers celebrate Christmas in January simply because it's the way it is.
