Pros

Easy "stress free" work not including stress over hours.

Cons

Recent cut backs across the country leave RCA's without hours while requiring you to be available to be called in 7 days a week

Pros

RCA's don't have to wear the uniform.

Cons

Takes at least 2 months between interviewing and orientation. Unreliable hours as a sub, while being on-call (without pay per union negotiated contract) 7 days a week. If you want to get to a career (stable) position, you have to be on-call 7 days a week for 1-3 years. Advised in the training there are times you might have to use your personal vehicle to complete a route. Most of the "academy" involved the instructors gossiping about other employees and stations in the area. The orientation individual got upset and walked out of the room after questioned on a topic that concerned many of us, because we weren't okay with, "That's how it is sometimes."
