Pros

You can eventually retire, but your body is broken down years before you're eligible.

Cons

Management. Management. Management. Hours. Work every Sunday, Saturday, holiday, and say goodbye to Xmas. 12 hour days, 13 days in a row are normal for the part time people. And if you don't get in good with the supervisor you get shafted left and right. The post master said point blank he didn't care about grievances, how over worked we were, and OSHA says we can work 13 days straight before we have a day off. And if you're hurt you better have a work comp case or your medical restrictions won't be honored. The money sounds good, at first, then you realize you are severely underpaid and have crap benefits to you make full time which could 15 years.
