Pros

You get to be outside

Cons

The post office is straining to stay afloat & you feel the stress of their financial strains all the way to the bottom. The staff was underpayed, overworked, and overall miserable. I will not stick around for a career position. You can make as much at McDonalds with less drama I'm sure coming from the high school students who are employed there this summer. Manager was cussing at the Amazon driver last week. I have never seen such unprofessionalism in my life. PS. The schedule will change with no notice. The Post Master does not care about your life. You will work Sundays for Jeff Bezos. Might as well just get a job with Amazon and not deal with the mail at all. You will mostly be working for them anyway because the post office is broke,

Pros

Pay is good and a strong union.

Cons

Honestly my experiences is less than stellar. They will easily over work you, and ignore your availability.

Pros

Closed holidays but you have to go run Amazon at other locations if yours does not have Amazon Sundays.

Cons

Schedule changes as you are on call every day incase the full time carry wants to call in. You don’t get paid hourly so sometimes you are working for free. The post office controls your schedule and where you work.
