Pros

The carrier training program was thorough and hands-on. Once you're done casing, you're on the road, out of the office! As a PTF Carrier, you don't have your own regular route, so you get assigned to various routes and have a chance to learn where you like and don't like to deliver.

Cons

The hours were pretty brutal if you wanted to go home and spend time with your own family. I would come back on time after finishing my assigned route and then be asked to go back out and take an hour+ off of a regular carrier's route so they didn't have to claim the OT. PTFs have to come in on Sundays to deliver Amazon packages (it was optional for regular carriers).

Cons

One day off a week early career or until you get your own route
