Pros

Pay scale is higher than average for most jobs involving customer service. When working in a branch and not the plant, you have the benefit of day schedules (as opposed to night shift work at the plants)

Cons

schedule can be erratic and change frequently without much notice. Lots of standing still on concrete, which can be very hard on the back.

Pros

Embellish your reputation as being an anachronist. Listen to happy people that really enjoy their work. Be managed by people who would have been dismissed, but were kept on because no one wants to hear about how GREAT it is to work for the Postal Service. Be a public servant! Every citizen a customer that understands they are entitled to equal, efficient, and timely service.
