If you end up in the wrong office (Rainier, OR, for me), you'll wish you'd stayed where you were! Bad co-workers are gossipy & back-stabbing. Bad postmasters will make you just wanna quit.
The disparity between their methods of deciding pay for rural carriers & reality is abysmal.
If you're ever legitimately injured on the job, a bad postmaster will join with OWCP (Fed Workers' Comp under FECA & the Dept. of Labor) to make you wish you'd just gone ahead & died. In fact, I've heard of plenty who ended up committing suicide b/c of how badly OWCP messed up their claims. Being in terrible pain & being harassed at the same time (for something that wasn't your fault!) don't exactly go together well at all.
