Pros

There are no pros to this job except MAYBE the pay.

Cons

Horrible management, they will work you to the bone, union is biased and protects more the managers than the employees, toxic work environment.

Pros

Gov job with benefits but you won't get the "real ones" until 2 years in. Guaranteed 50+ hours (if that's your bag)

Cons

Same as above CCAs are pretty much the help and will be treated as such.

Pros

- Everywhere: post offices and processing centers are all over the country, so there's lots of flexibility for transfers - Huge organization - Careers in every field: the postal service has career options in everything from engineering or maintenance to writing or social media - Lots of training opportunities like six sigma, AutoCAD, or programming

Cons

- Tenured employees hoard information and are very hesitant to train or help their peers - Huge "us vs them" culture between craft and EAS employees - Plant leadership (at most processing sites) is aggressive and argumentative - Young engineers are often ignored and disrespected - Lots of finger pointing and not enough teamwork - The overall culture is abrasive and unsupportive
