Pros

Pay was good, but not guaranteed hours, so it didn't matter. It all depends on the postmaster. Mine was horrible.

Cons

No benefits, on call Monday - Saturday, work split shifts (sometimes 2 hours in the morning and then 2 hours in the evening), promised to be a full time career employee and the positions kept getting dropped instead of filled, scare tactics used to keep employees when the empty promises were evident, no time off for doctor's appointments, be prepared to live to work at the post office and not have a sliver of a home life.
