Pros

The only good thing about being a USPS Letter Carrier are the government benefits.

Cons

Everything about this job is awful except for the government benefits.

Pros

UNION. Livable wage. I earn around $85k. Excellent retirement benefits. Good health plan Offer HSA/FSA Possibility to transfer anywhere in the country if you wait long enough. Yearly salary increase. Cost of living adjustments that increase pay as costs increases.

Cons

All the pros only apply if you can endure the work culture. There are very few personnel in management that actually know how to manage or even treat people with respect. You are just a number on their clipboard. If you make their numbers look bad, they will try everything in their power to get rid of you. When you first begin, your work/life balance will be imbalanced.
