Good pay and benefits once you become career, strong union

Cons

Poor leadership from management, poor communication from management to employees, no work-life balance. New hires should be prepared to work 6 to 10 days in a row without a day off. You will be expected to sacrifice all for the almighty post office. Intentionally understaffed, District level management has literally said to one of my local supervisors that if we can get the job done on time then we're overstaffed. When someone is on vacation or calls in sick the office can nearly fall apart.

-Although the government take a lot of taxes, it will pay off when you retire. -An opportunity to advance with no edu -Lots of job opportunities

Cons

Incredibly unprofessional environment, anyone can be a supervisor, anyone, as a result no one really know what they are doing. Lots of bullies, selfish people who will go as far as blocking you from your next career.
