It is a well paying job but it does have it's drawbacks..

Pros

The pay & benefits are great.

Cons

Management has no idea of the consequences of their decisions to the employees who actually do the job. Their main objective is to make more money. Most of the management has never been in the " white collar" level of a company.

Pros

Gave many common folk a good opportunity to raise families and live the american dream.

Cons

New managers were hired and brought on board to dismantle the working system. An upper management shuffle brought in managers with orders of misdirections, and when all else fails issue discipline! That was not the answer, when the managers gave the incorrect directions ( from their superiors). We were to do more not only with less resources, sometimes with no resources, we did the craftwork ourselves, as supervisors and managers.
