Pros

Good pay 50,000 after 10 years, medical coverage, 401 K retirement, day time work, work alone if you like that, almost like not having supervision

Cons

Work saturdays weekend off every 6 weeks, work in all kinds of weather, more and more time being spent outside, mail is being sorted ahead of time, act as if they are doing you a favor when they force you to work overtime

Cons

The place is micromanaged. You have individuals that have no Experience in the field that they are managing. Management sets unreasonable numbers to meet. They use threats and intimidation every single day you step into the work place. I have worked 13 years for the company and it gets worst every year. I have to say I have never enjoyed my employment at the postal service do to the horrible treatment by the management. The biggest saying in the postal service is that " management has the right to mismanage."

Pros

The TE City Carrier job paid more than $50K a year, and considering all it entails is walking door to door delivering mail, I think it was overpaid.

Cons

Uncertainty of job security: I never felt like I had a long-term future so I left. It was great hourly pay but some health coverage would've been nice considering the TE carriers did twice the work for half the pay of the career employees.
