Pros

You can provide well for your family. Work in customer service area is during day so you can spend every evening with family.

Cons

Customer service involves working Saturday which is tough if you wan to do things with your family. USPS in financial crisis. A lot of micro managing even though USPS says that if they didn't have to pay into retirement early we would be in the black.

Pros

Great pay. Friendly coworkers. Stable (?) company. I don't know how stable the future really is for them. Manual labor, but not hard to learn. Great exercise.

Cons

Long hours expected of transitional employees. 6 days a week, no questions asked. Not much, if any, union support despite being a dues paying member. Kind of a dying company.
