Pros

The sallary is decent. As a regular rural carrier you get paid fixed salary, so if you get the work done faster you can go home and still get paid.

Cons

Huge gap between employes and management. Al lot of pressure every day from new rules, regulations (most of which are make no sence).

Pros

Working for the customers on the route is very rewarding. Sometimes we are the only person the elderly see during the day and they look forward to seeing us. This makes the carrier one of the first to recognize when something isn't quite "right" on a route.

Cons

Micro managed beyond belief. Management is so focused on numbers that the community, served, is lost.
