Pros

Pay, benefits, bargaining unit representation - encourage paying your dues and participating, otherwise the purpose of a "union" job is cancelled out. Their efforts & negotiations are the only reason for your good pay and benefits, after all.

Cons

Revolving door middle management, mostly concerned only with numbers and moving on up. Some exceptions make periods of a career in the USPS more rewarding.

Pros

Good pay, the job itself is very simple.

Cons

Incompetent management, excessive micro-management, too many higher-ups justifying their jobs by coming up with things for the clerks/carriers to do. Manage thru intimidation.Whatever goes wrong, it's YOUR fault.

Pros

Can set own hours and do the work required. Not micromanaged. Good rapport with the employees. Good interaction with clients.

Cons

No benefits for contractors. Humanistic concerns are not always addressed such as driving in bad weather to get the "job done.."
