Pros

As you may have heard, this job offers great pay and benefits to those of us without degrees or aversion to hard work. There's also opportunities to advance from within and to transfer to other positions. Three different shifts offered, overtime available and sometimes mandatory, subject to change according to seasonal needs. Unionized.

Cons

*Old building (Cincinnati P&DC) with pretty common exposure to Asbestos.* Demanding physical job, repetitive motion liable to create chronic injury. Incredibly hard flooring. Sometimes unsympathetic management. Mandatory overtime up to 12 hours a day, and (rarely) 7 days a week. Dry and dusty conditions do to the nature of letter processing and paper needs.

Pros

Good pay and benefits, lots of available hours for overtime

Cons

Lots of drama, guilt about working overtime hours, poor relationships between managers and craft employees
