US Postal Service reviews

If you're a human being you may not like this position. You're expexted to be a robot. You are there to help the regular carriers who cant do their own work for whatever reason. Dont bother asking for help when you need it because you are the help. You work 6/7 days a week if you're in a bus office. If you have family this may not be for you. Definitely a lot of favoritism/nepotism. A lot of work with very lititle appreciation from supervisors/management. A lot of the management are promoted from with in so keep in mind a lot of them have worked for USPS for many years so they become very bitter and lack any kind of management or customer service skills. Management also has stress from their post masters or higher ups and they take it out on the people who actually do the work. EVERYTHING is time sensitiv and micro managed. Forget about having a brain they don't like that. You are told what to do and you follow orders. Very military like. That's just the office part. Then there are your customers and all the crazy ways you have to deliver their mail. There's dogs. Basically the USPS needs to get with the times. Their method of doing things is sooooo outdated.
