Pros

For an adjuster position, the pay is good. You are paid an hourly rate so overtime means something. Benefits are solid. Your office is your home, so that is a plus.

Cons

Extremely metric-driven position. If you are not meeting the expected metrics, they will make sure you are aware of it. The likelihood of actually meeting the expectations is very slim due to the workload. You are required to handle claims with very fine attention to quality, while also having a very high claim volume. It is just too much stress to handle such high quality AND quantity expected. You are not required to work overtime, but you will need to just to stay caught up. You also will find yourself constantly thinking about work even when not on the clock. Therefore, the work/life balance is not great. Additionally, USAA constantly changes their procedures and guidelines, which can be difficult to keep up with.
